Headline - Andy White

Andy is a Brummie who escaped from a call centre to become a stand up comic. He combines silly voices and a mad Afro to devastating comic effect. Andy's humour embraces silly voices, funny faces, observational humour, topical humour and his mixed race background. He can do material that's clever, cheeky, sick or just silly. His performance can shift from deadpan to loud and physical.

Andy has played to a wide variety of audiences, adults and children, both at home and abroad, in comedy clubs, theatres, universities, Radio and TV shows, and at corporate entertainment events.

Support - Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue

From the sunny side of Planet Twat comes the unique character comedy that is THE RAYMOND AND MISTER TIMPKINS REVUE. This charismatically-challenged uncle / mute nephew co-operative invite you to their disturbing world of brushed velvet arousal.

It's freakish entertainment on a twisted stick, incorporating inimitable acoustic guitar / stylophone driven rock anthems coupled with a plethora of prop-assisted material that's busier than a wasp in a fat child's lunchbox which has made them popular in curry houses across the commonwealth.

Together since 1992, their highly original performance approach has made them regulars in Universities and comedy clubs around the country, including appearances at the Edinburgh (Where they appeared in 'The Best of the Fringe'), Glastonbury, Phoenix and Reading festivals.

Compere - Ryan Gough

Ryan performed his first gig in December 2000, jumping up on a comedy club stage to deputise for his mate who 'bottled it' at the last minute. As the compere introduced his nervous friends name, he bolted into the Gents and Ryan took the mike and treated the small Birmingham crowd to an improvised routine about the boredom of his job at the time.

Over three years and two hundred gigs later, Ryan has now graduated to a regular circuit act, performing at every comedy club from Newcastle to Plymouth. Being 6 foot 5 inches tall and touching on nineteen stone with a shaved head, a lazy eye and his trademark black leather coat, Ryan can look scary, intimidating and aggressive. Nothing can be further from the truth, Ryan's friendly banter with the audience makes him an ideal compere. Whether it is encouraging the audience to singalong with various 1980's adverts or one-hit-wonders from the 1970's, Ryan can warm up the dullest of rooms and wake up the most moribund of audiences. His material is autobiographical, regional (he researches for his "away from home gigs"), self-deprecating, sarcastic, laconic with the odd knob-gag squeezed in for good measure. Recently, he has worked as compere for Daniel Kitson, Reginald D.Hunter and Mitch Benn.

Reviews
"A powerful stage presence, Gough can quickly fire a room with energy, which makes him especially useful as a compere. His strongest gags are directed at his own stature and demeanour - especially how his burly look doesn’t match his friendly matter". Chortle

Ryan was an imposing presence on the straining Malarkey stage and had a likable and confident delivery. He had plenty of quality material a delivered a quality debut at XS Malarkey.” Xsmalarkey

"A jovial and friendly compere whose ability to build audience rapport is a sure-fire winner" Gloucester Citizen
